QuickTime and a TIFF (LZW) decompressor message in Word 2003

Hello,

I am trying to open a word file from MAC in MS Word 2003 and getting
“QuickTime and a TIFF (LZW) decompressor are needed to see this pictureâ€
message. The text seems to appear fine so it seems like the problem is with
the images only. Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I researched on the
web little bit and it seems everything is pointing back to MAC. The images
have to be exported in an uncompressed format in MAC and then can be
re-inserted in order to view them on MS Word 2003. So is there a fix which
can be done on Windows and hence eliminating the need to go back to the MAC.
Pls advice. Thanks

PS. I installed the latest QuickTime player but that didn’t help either

I don't know of any way around avoiding the Mac for a Word document with
this issue. (There's a potential fix if it were a PowerPoint file, but since
it's not, that's not gonna help.) If it's a matter of not being able to go
back to the original author, well, maybe you can take the file to Kinko's --
they usually have a Mac available.

Thanks for the response. I discovered some PowerPoint files with the same
problem as they came from a MAC. So will you be able to provide me a fix for
those? Thanks for your help.
