PP2003 XP
Will QuickTime movies play in PowerPoint?
Can I (Or do I need to change extension to MPEG or something else.
I converted to an AVI but very large and the sound went away.
The MPG seems to freeze up PP and green flashes around screen. Then I hear
audio but see no video, just scrambled box of colors?

John,
I recently dicovered that you can also play just about any QT movie
in Powerpoint if you get rid of quicktime altogether and install
Quicktime Alternative on your PC:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm
It's basically a codec that allows you to run .mov files in Windows
Media Player. In fact it seems much better than Quicktime player
which doesn't seem to have the option to run full screen.

You can then insert MOV files in PP as Windows Media Player control box.
Works brilliantly - only snag is that you must make sure the codec is
installed on whatever machine you intend to play the show on.
cheers
Bill
