Quicktime movies are used widely enough that they should be support in Power
Point. Windows and Office are supposed to be easy to use right? It should
be as simple as dragging the .mov file into PowerPoint and you're up and
running. I understand there are activeX controllers out there to address
this, but why should I have to dig up something like that that's going to
cost $$ extra when it should be part of the program. Sure you can use the
action but to kick out quicktime infront of the presentation, but what if you
want to embed to .mov or play it IN the presentation.... Sorry but
converting all your .mov files over to .AVI and .WMV is an unacceptable waste
of time and effort. Besides Windows Media Player does not work well at all
as a presentation tool, it is terrible. Say you have an .WMV you want to
scroll though and quickly show people important points. Cannot be done, you
scroll all you want in Windows Media Player and there in no updating of the
video until you let go of the mouse button, so you're guessing around until
you finally find what your looking for,
click+click+scroll+click+click+scroll+click.... Say your teaching a point
shown in a video, you cannot scroll back and forth showing the action taking
place....with quicktime, that is cake. Also this business of CTRL+P to pause
and play...who came up with that??? 6.4 didn't work that way, you just hit
the space bar, like practically every other video program out there, but
Windows Media Player has to downgrade to something strange.
