quit help?

In excel 2004 for mac, once you are in help, how do you quit it?

1- you don't necessarily have to quit the help file, you can just "push it
aside" and type in your worksheet.

2- if you want to quit the help file, simply click the red button at top
left of the window (just as you would with the Mac OS X Help) and it's gone.

Bernard,
There is NO red button in the upper left. If I press the only one there is
closes the worksheet thats open. The help is always on top, and dragging it
to the side is not a real option on powerbook screen.

This is a rather bizarre description. Clicking on a control in a Help
window should have absolutely no effect on a worksheet.

The first thing I'd try is, with all office apps closed, renaming the

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft

folder. Restart XL - does the problem go away? The Help window should
have the normal three controls on the upper left, with the middle one
disabled.

For what it is worth, when I have a help window open, all three
controls are gray until I mouse over them. Then the left is red, the
middle is gray, and the right is green. Clicking on the red one does
close the window, as expected.
