Quite A Few Suggestions

When I conduct research for a project, most shared documents I receive are in
PDF format. This is also true for information found on most websites that is
available for download to research or for basic viewing purposes.

Most importantly, when sharing PDF documents with colleagues, it would be
great if PDF files could be imported in an editable format. This would allow
them to be reviewed/modified and re-saved in saved in PDF format (or saved in
a shared notebook. However you choose to do so).

The ability to edit a PDF would also make that information searchable. A
must have when you are doing any type of research.

Another great feature would be the capability to track changes in shared
notebooks. This would come in handy when you have documents being passed
around and viewed by different people.

It would also be great to see some Word features in Onenote as well. I
actually find myself using Word less often because I like the features and
capabilities of Onenote so much; and for basic writing and notating Onenote
fulfills most of my requirements. Although, combining the two programs would
make them too robust and I think the programs each cater to their own niche
audience.

Another great feature would be the inclusion of a ruler. I never paid
attention to it in Word, but I never knew how much I missed it until it
wasn't there.

One word feature I would like to see are fixed page dimensions as templates
(with rulers). When I was in college I typed a large amount of research
papers in Onenote and the page sizing was a nightmare; but I used Onenote
anyway because I loved the ability to keep an entire notebook of my class
work on my laptop and not waste paper. I still know some students who use
Onenote for documenting the majority of their notes (and class recordings, a
great feature!) and although Word files can be imported into Onenote, it's a
hassle when you could just type the original document in Onenote to begin
with.

Ok.. I just realized you can search inserted images of documents (such as
PDFs) by making the image searchable.
