Quotation Marks Don't Work in Word 2008

I am currently using Microsoft Word 2008 for my Macbook. I can type
quotation marks in all other applications, i.e. Firefox, Mac Stickies, etc,
but for some reason not in Word!

I can't do this: " ", in Word. I think it might be because I changed my
language tools to Spanish because I'm typing in Spanish but I can't do it
when I revert back to English either.

What is this error? Any way to fix it?

Thanks!

When you switch your keyboard to Spanish, Word automatically changes the
language marked in the text to Spanish.

When you switch back to English, it doesn't switch back automatically. It's
a bug!

Since the text is now marked in Spanish, you will get Spanish opening and
closing quotes. You need to re-set the text to English to stop this.

Cheers
