Quotes replaced by random characters

New PC: P4, 512MB RAM, Win XP and Office XP with SP3 just
installed. Mail server is Exchange 5.5. Outlook using Word
as e-mail editor. User types reply to original message
from aol user cc'ing other internal users and document
displays on her screen fine but when printed or received
by others anything within quotation marks is replaced by
random characters.

Just to simplify everything - disable Word as email editor - test. Change to
plain text format - test. Change to HTML - test.

Had her disable Wrod as editor and create new mail item
but leaving HTML format. The initial test was fine sending
to anothter user with Outlook XP but will have to have her
test to the AOL user and an Office 97 user. Thanks.
