R6025 Error after Office 2000 SP-3 installation failure

J

JimB

After attempting, and failing to install Office 2000 SP-3, I openned
PowerPoint and received the following message when I selected a template type
from the startup dialog box:

Runtime Error

Program: C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office\POWERPNT.EXE

R6025

- pure virtual function call

I click on OK, which closes the program. When I attemp to open an existing
PPT file the program crashes when starts to open the edit window.

Any suggestions?

Try clicking the link in the link below that leads to
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817841 Try the resolutions there, and if
they don't work, call MS for the hotfix.
