R6025 pure virtual funtion call

My PC running Windows ME and suddenly I got the message
"R6025 pure virtual funtion call" based on C++ every time
I start Microsoft Word. Initially, it was MS Office 2000
and then I uninstalled it and installed MS Office XP but
the problem remained.
The only way I can get into Word is by forcing it until
the application offers to start in safe mode.

Is there any way to fix this or has it got something wrong
in the windows registry.

Any help and solution will be appreciated.
