Raffle tickets

I have just purchased Publisher 2003, thinking that I would be able to do raffle tickets, with stub, for drawing and automatic sequential numbering system with same number on stub and ticket itself. If Pub 2003 can do it, it doesn't tell me. Iwould have thought with the new version, it would have been easy.

One way around it use an external data source like excel
for the sequential numbering and do a mail merge. It's
not ideal...
