random blank slides on PPS file

Jeffrey Falk

I transferred several PPS files to a new laptop. When I try to run them,
several random slides appear blank.
The laptop has WIN XP PRO and is a desktop replacement. I also have PPT 2003
installed on it. All these files
were opened and saved to PPT 2003. Show all Scripts is turned on and the
graphics acceleration has been slowed down a notch.
Any other suggestions?

Thank you

Open PPT and go to Help/Check for Updates. Install any updates/critical
patches suggested. I believe there's one for Office 2003 which may correct
the missing pictures issue.

I did the update and still get several blank slides. Do you have any other
suggestions?

Thanks you

I would recommend that you check the website of the laptop manufacturer and
look for any updates to video drivers for your model and your version of
Windows. I know that the laptop is new, but from the time the system is
manufactured and shipped to you, much can happen. Video drivers are updated
frequently.
