Random CLOSE window

Hello

A friend of mine gets a small window with CLOSE in it, while working in a
spread sheet, and all his work is lost when he closes. I have increased the
memory from 128 to 512MB, which has improved the speed of the system, but
has not solved this problem. He is using Excel 2000 and Windows 98SE. He's
got Norton Internet Security 2004 installed, and I wonder if this may be
causing some problems, because this started after installing Norton.
