Random date stamps (e.g. 2037)

I

Ingrid Parker

In running Office 10.1.0 under OS 10.2.8, many of my old Word and
Excel files have been assigned random date stamps from the future
(e.g. April 2, 2036). This makes it impossible to synchronize files
on different machines. The Date & Time on the machine appear to be
correct. Apple Support thinks it's not the OS but is a problem in
Office.

Help; has anyone seen this before?

AFAIK, date stamping files is purely an OS function. Where did these old
Word and Excel files come from? are both the Create and Modified dates
affected?

You could try (and I recommend you do) updating to Office 10.1.5. See
http://www.mcgimpsey.com/macoffice/office/vxversions.html for help if
necessary.
