Random Date

We have a project plan that randomly displays the date at line 0. It is
located at in the 'Task Name' field and at the end of the task name.

Example: Project Plan A 20090415

It appears when the project is opened and then when the project is saved,
published and then reopened in Project 2007 the date is gone.

This is not being entered by the project manager and she can modify the task
name to remove but we do not.

The formatting makes me wonder if something that project or project server
is plugging in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Trisha:

The project name in the Project Summary Task, Line 0, comes from the Title
field from File > Properties. Ask your PM if she ever types anything into
the Title field. Project Server doesn't use date formats like this, so it
has to come from a human being.

If you are finding it on many projects, also check all the macros that come
from the enterprise global template. You can set a macro to run on the 'On
Save' or 'On Publish' events etc. which could be appending the date in to
fields..

P.S. alwats check the global template anyway :)
