Random link changes during pack and go.

I apologize if this is a repeat post. I am getting odd errors when I submit.

In our computer lab students are often starting presentations on their own
computers wiht PPT 2003. They later complete the projects in our lab with
PPT 2007. When they use the Package for CD feature, the process randomly
switched their internal links.

In some instances the links will go to incorrect slides, in others they go
to images within slides. We have tested and checked this oddity repeatedly
and cannot find a solution. The problem does not occur when a project built
strictly on one computer.

Does anybody have advice regarding how we can avoid this issue, outside, of
course, having everyone work completely on a single machine? This would pose
serious problems here.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, using a virtual machine would
totally upset the apple cart. However, I suspect we can get a file for
examination. I am away from my office for a few days, but I may be able to
provide the file(s) on Monday.
