Can't find anything in Tools re: this subject but was told
Excel has capability, where is this info, and what would
the exact formula be to create a random order list say,
from l to 100 using database of 100 names in Excel
worksheet.

Use

=RAND()

copy down/across next to your names, sort by the rand column/row and select
the first n names (where n is the number of names you want)
