Recently my wife's PC lost a hard drive and I had to restore Outlook from a
copy of the .pst file, not a backup copy, a full copy of the .pst file.
Ever since then she has been getting random reminders, mostly associated
with email messages that have no visible flag set, but recently it started
posting reminders for her contacts also. The reminders cannot be dismissed -
they just reappear right away. The only way to get rid of them is to close
the reminder window. The next time she opens Outlook another batch of
reminders appears for a different set of messages and/or contacts.
I have run the Inbox repair tool and started Outlook using the
/CleanReminders switch. I have never seen this type of behavior from Outlook.
