Random shut down of Outlook...

I

Ian Francis

I have Outlook 2002 running on Windows 2000 Pro... both fully updated with
the latest patches from Microsoft. I have been experiencing a wierd problem
over the last few days. It seems that my Outlook has been randomly shuting
down during use. Then, when I go to re-open my Outlook, I get the "Outlook
did not shut down properly" and I get the task window with progress bar
showing a restore of my Personal Folders. This probably happens two or
three times a day.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? I would appreciate any
suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Ian

This also happens to me but continuosly. It shuts down every 5 minutes and
takes 10 minutes to open. I upgraded to 2002 hoping this would fix my problem
and it did not. The only add on svc I run is Plaxo. I have all the updates
and Run Office 2002 with SP3 installed. I am running Windows XP Pro. I have
the exact same problem as Ian Francis had. It gives no error msgs or warning
that it is shutting down, it merely closes and gives the same msg upon
opening. How do I check my even viewer. I run a PDA software but none of it
is open.
