Randomly moving cursor

My wife is using Word 2007 with Vista. While she types, the cursor will
randomly jump to other points in the document, makeing a very frustrating
mess. I did a search but did not find anything.

Does anyone know about this or have any ideas?

Laptop with touchpad?

This is usually because the touchpad is oversensitive which is causing it to
simulate a mouse click. You should be able to desensitize the touchpad or to
disable the 'tap simulates a click' feature.
