RangeFromPoint problems

I am having a problem when using RangeFromPoint is Excel. All works fine
until I have any visible precedent / dependent arrows on the workbook
concerned. If the X, Y co-ordinates refer to a point on the screen that is on
one of these arrows then Excel crashes when I use the RangeFromPoint method.
I am using Excel 2003 with Windows XP. Has anyone else had this problem, or
know of any way around it?
