Rate Card security

Trying to confgure so that PM doesnt see rate card or project costs, but can
obviously see schedule. Only some people can see labor costs in our company.

How do I do that?

Heather:

There is no way to hide costs from Project Managers. Project was designed
around PMI project standards that dictate that PMs are responsible for
managing costs. Perhaps this feature will be added to a future version.
You're not the first to want this.

You cannot accomplish it through configuration alone, but it can be done if
you have lots of time and money. A few years ago, a client insisted on this
capability. The solution was a procedure that ran against the database
nightly and stored results in the OLAP Cube, only available to chosen execs.

Most organizations just go with blended rates for resources, which works
well enough for most of them since PServer is not their system of record for
costs.
