Rate Field after enter

I have a form, which holds only the current minimum wage, which is used to
calculate a travel rate.
When the rate is entered and the user hits enter, the rate disappears off
the form. On re-opening, the rate is there. How can I prevent this
disappearance act?

What version of Access are you using? What is the ControlSource of the
control?

Is it the last control in the tab order and you are simply going to a new
record? If so then changiong the Form's Cycle property (on the Other tab)
from "All Records" to "Current Record" should fix your issue.

I changed the Form's Cycle property to "Current Record" and that fixed it
