Can the following be done:

1. Standard Rates – We need to have the rates in the Project that is being
uploaded override the default Enterprise Resource rates.
2. Calendars – We need to have the local base calendar override the base
calendar on Enterprise Server.

Please le tme know. Thanks!

1. No, this is not possible. You can only specify resource rates for local
resources in a project.

2. No, by default this is not possible either. On the other hand, your
Project Server administrator CAN enable the use of local base calendars.
Their use is disabled by default. When enabled, this would allow the PMs to
select a local Base Calendar as the Project Calendar, the Non-Working Time
Calendar, or as a Task Calendar.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! How can the Project Server Admin enable the use of the local base
calenders? Please advise. Thanks!

In PWA, click Server Settings - Additional Server Settings. The "Allow
projects to use local base calendars" option is near the top of the page.
Hope this helps.

Anup,

To add on to what Dale mentioned in item 2. If you want a local calendar to
override the working/non working days in a schedule for tasks that have
resource assignments, you must apply the local base calendar to the task
under Task Information>Advanced tab and check the box "Scheduling ignores
resource calendars". Simply changing the project calendar to the local base
calendar will not affect the resource assignments because resource calendars
always supersede project calendars.

Hope this helps,

Hi Dale, that option is already checked on under 'Additional Server
Settings' but it still saves the Enterprise Resources at Enterprise Calenders.

Anum,

You cannot use the same name for a local calendar as an Enterprise Calendar,
like "Standard" for instance. Hope that helps.
