I read the fix you did. I have the same problem.
I run a reporter which gives me the raw data.
I FTP it to my PC.
Open it with XCEL and it has automatically put items into columns.
It was only recently that I started having this problem. For the past couple of years everything was running fine.
I opened with XCEL and ran my macro and it was great.
My report has semicolons as separators.
When I open the text to column function it is always defaulted to TAB.
How do I turn this off??
Unfortunatly opening in IE, cut/paste is not a good option for me because I have a large department of people who relied on the macro and would be unable to cut & paste.
Is this a bug? Why does it now do this upon opening with XCEL?
If I open in IE can I run a macro to do the next steps.
I can do basic macros in XCEL but I am no expert.
