RBS and Error??? but still saves

We have a brand new Project Server instance, we are adding the Resources into
the Resource Global. We have created the RBS in the proper outline code.
When we add the resource we select the RBS "value" field from the drop-down.
This works great for most of the resources. However, in some cases, after
selecting the "value" field, it shows up as red. Red is normally an error in
the global files - however, there is no error message and it still saves
without any problems. It stays as red text when we re-open the resource but
it doesn not give any errors. Is this something that I should worry about?

Does anybody have any thoughts? These appear "normal" in PWA....just not in
the Resource Global.

I have encountered the same thing (I believe).

The mask either was not set or changed after you built the table. In my
case, I originally used a project outline code as a number and used the
description field to define the code. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until
later that the descriptions didn't appear in pwa. So, I went back and change
the table entries, for example from 1 to 1 SOW.

The table went red. Realized that I needed the code mask, and change it to
character and length of 10. Table remained red.

Removed the length description, and it was fine. (No field exceeded 10
characters, but remained Red).

I suspect you have some variant of what I encountered. The table saved,
everything worked, but it was Red.

Thanks Dave. I think that this is what happened to us as well. We made some
changes after the fact. It does appear to work everywhere - it just shows
red in the RBS itself. Thanks for your help.
