RBS and project manager

Hi,

Here's a subset of our RBS :

HQ - Engineering - Equipment - Hardware
- Software
- Systems
- Technology Management - R&D project manager
-
Standardisation
- Operations - Technical project management
---------------------
The project managers are located in the RBS nodes "R&D project manager" and
"Technical project management"

As you can see the project managers have no resources directly "below" them.
The project managers should however be able to build a team and to assign
resources to tasks.

What is here the best approach ? ?

The only solution I have found so far is to set the security such that "All
current and future resources" are available in the Server configuration.

I could also create another RBS with the project managers higher in the tree
but then this does not map anymore to the company's organization chart.

Marco --

Given your situation, I think you need to do one of the following:

- Redefine your RBS field so that your project managers have access to their
own resources
- Place each PM at a higher branch of the present RBS so that they have
access to resources
- Change the Resources setting in the My Projects category to show all
current and future resources

Just a thought. Perhaps the others have some ideas for you also. Hope this
