RBS and security

I´ve an organisation structured RBS code like this samlpe:

1 Manager
1.1 Ressources from Manager

In the ressource center the Manager can see his ressources but NOT himself.
The ressource center view is managed by considering RBS structure.

My questions: Why cant see the manager his own ressource in the ressource
center?
Is it intended by the system, that the RBS code automaticly makes ONLY the
outline lower than the parent visible?
Is there a easy solution for this problem available exept creating an own
category for the manager?

Hello Oliver.

The resource manager can see himslef when changing the resource manager
category. Go to web access->Admin->Manage security and modify "My Resources".
You should set the check mark to "Allow users in this category to view their
own information" and then save.
The Resource Manager will now be able to see himself, but it is not possible
that he sees other users on the same RBS level.

Hallo Sylvia,

Danke für Deine Antwort. Allerdings haben wir dieses Häkchen in der
Ressourcen Kategorie gesetzt. Trotzdem kann sich der Manager im
Ressourcencenter nicht sehen. Wie schon geschrieben, haben wir in der Ansicht
"Ressourcenübersicht" ganz unten das Häkchen für den RSB-Code auch gesetzt.
Hast Du das auch so und kann der Manager sich bei Dir selber sehen?
Ich muss dazu sagen, wir verwenden nicht die Project Standardkategorien
"Eigene Ressourcen". Wir haben die praktisch kopiert und mit
Unternehmensbezeichnungen umbenannt. Das kann doch wohl nicht auch ein Grund
sein?
