RBS changes needed

Our company recently changed its organizational structure, now I'd like to
update my RBS to match the new structure. Is it possible to change the RBS?
If so, what impact will this have on existing projects and resources? Is it
as simple as going into Customize Enterprise Fields and modifying the lookup
table for RBS resource outline code? I didn't originally set up the Project
Server so I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

Making the change is as simple as you describe. After doing so, you will
want to ask all of your project managers to open each project they manage
and to republish them using Collaborate - Publish - All Information. The
next time your OLAP cube rebuilds, you will see the new RBS structure
reflected in Portfolio Analyzer views. Hope this helps.

So, will I have to update the RBS field for each resource manually?
Specifically, if a resource is on a different level of the new org chart?
The new org structure has some significant changes, including a new
department at a higher level which is a combination of groups of resources
from a lower level in the old org chart. (Hope that makes sense!).

Depending on what changes you make to the RBS, you will probably need to
manually edit the RBS field for some resources, and perhaps for all. Hope
this helps.
