RDP Requires Office Reactivation

I am having a problem that I seen in these posts but have yet to see a
solution to it. When a user RDP's into their workstation Office pops
up with a message requiring reactivation. Office then goes into a
reduced mode and users can't do anything.
We are running in a Windows 2003 domain - roaming profiles and the
desktops are Windows XP with either Office XP SB or Office XP pro. I
think it may be related to an update but can't be sure. Any help in
solving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alan,

Was this deployed with an Enterprise/Volume license product and key?
If I recall correctly that capability isn't supported on Office retail editions and it's that (activation is hardware specific)
could trigger the activation request from a retail installation.

Hi Bob,

The workstations here were installed using a volume license.

Sorry it was OEM installed here. The problem doesn't appear is a
local user is setup - only when a user with a roaming profile uses it.
