re-activation?

i have a gateway laptop that came with the microsoft
package, my younger brother re-installed the programs to
put power point on my computer, because of the re-
installation my microsoft word said that i needed to
reactivate the program but whenever i said that i wanted
to do it, it would tell me that it was already activated
onto another computer. because of loading word documents
while online, i no longer have it on my computer. is
there anyway that i can fix this problem? or do i have to
go and buy a new program?

I'm confused. You say Word wants to be reactivated, and then you say you no
longer have it on the computer. Are there two computers involved here? An
OEM version of Word/Office is licensed only for the machine it comes on; you
can't put it on another system.
