re-install Office 2000

Carl West

I had a power failure that zapped my motherboard so I
upgraded to a new CPU as well as Windows ME (from 98SE).
Now I want to re-install Office 2000 (which was an upgrade
on my old system) but I cannot because I no longer have a
back level "office" program on my system. How do I get
around this???

Thanks. Carl

Hi, Carl,

If you could "get around" this, then everyone would purchase the
lower-priced upgrades, wouldn't they? <grin>

Seriously, you'll need to find a qualifying product to point to when
prompted by Office 2000. Here's a list of all the things that qualify; you
shouldn't need to install them but just insert the installation media and
point Office 2000 to it when asked.

Hope that helps--
