Running Windows XP Home Edition. My Anti-Virus software found 2 infected
files and quarantined them. I had to do a reinstall of XP.
Computer started confusing Office XP with Office 2003 - If I recall, when I
installed 2003 it asked to uninstall XP, so I did not do it separately. So
last week I looked and found that Office XP still had files on my computer,
so I "removed program files" and did a reinstall of Office 2003, just to be
on the safe side.
Everything seemed to go well. Now I am getting the following dialog box:
Installation Error
Setting product ID registry failed!
I can't do an uninstall because the computer is trying to install Windows XP
updates from the MS website and it can't complete the install for some reason.
Help!
