Yes - but make sure you enter the OFFICE product key and NOT the WINDOWS
product key....

On the CD/DVD case....

my laptop came with it already installed as i bought the last one that was on
the shop shelf. is there no way else of finding it out?

There would have been, before you restored to factory settings.
Unfortunately, while there is an MS website to deal with lost or missing
product keys, as yours came pre-installed, you need to go back to the vendor
of your computer.
