Re-installation Outlook 98

I installed Outlook 98 years ago as an upgrade to Outlook
97. Recently, I upgraded my operating system and after re-
installing Office 97 - including Outlook 97 - I tried to
then upgrade Outlook 97 to 98.

I have on my hard drive an Outlook 98 directory with a
number of .cab files. But instead of looking to that
directory during the setup process it is trying to connect
to a web site or proxy server that no longer exists. I
assume it is the web site where I originally downloaded
the Outlook 98 set up files.

Does anyone know how I can re-install outlook 98 using the
files on my system or direct me to an active web site that
can do the download?

Many thanks,

Mark

Outlook 98 is gone.

You do not have a complete installation package on your system. Outlook 98
was only available as an active download (which was discontinued almost 4
years ago) and as a CD (no longer available).

If you've updated your Operating system, you should seriously consider
updating Office too. If you have a student or teacher in your household, you
might want to take a look at the Student & Teacher edition of Office 2003
which is being featured by many back-to-school sales at office supply stores.
There is also a brisk business in new, never opened copies of Office XP on
eBay.

I have same identical problem. Have you been successful in resolving, or
have you decided to upgrade?
Thanks,
