Re-installing FP2002 error

Hello; First-time poster here.

I have two full copies of FP2002 as I have two computers I use it on. I
recently crashed one of the computers so I tried to reinstall from the
original CD. Neither copy will accept either product key to reinstall the
program. I tried both because I was not sure which copy belonged to which
computer. My laptop is dying of old age, and it's my only remaining
installed copy. I am getting desperate.

I tried to find support on the Microsoft site, but they charge $35 for a
single email. I bought these programs for the two non-profit agencies I
work for so the youth I work with can manage their web sites. I am
desperate to get this reinstalled, but we cannot afford to pay that much for
an email.

Does anyone know of something else I can try? Or what I might be doing
wrong?

1. What happens when you enter the product key? Error messages, etc.
