Re-installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007

My daughter's laptop having XP and a CD installed Microsoft Office
Professional Plus 2007 (purchased through the school system) crashed and we
unable to recover data. We just finished purchasing a new laptop that has
Vista Home edition and a trial version of MS Office (90 days). I prefer that
she not start using the trail version of MS Office. Is it safe to attempt to
uninstall that program? I would like to re-install the Microsoft Office
Professional Plus 2007 (purchased through the school system). I have the CD
and product key. How do I go about completing these tasks so that I do not
end up with conflicts based upon the re-use of the product key?

Absolutely uninstall the trial from the new computer before attempting to
install the Pro Plus version and activating it on the network.

In Control Panel, click Programs and Features. Find the trial version and
uninstall it.

Uninstall the trial, clear temp files, reboot, install your cd version & use
phone activation if neccessary - thats it
