re-installing office 97 (upgrade)

I am trying to re-install my copy of Office 97 pro
(upgrade)on a new machine as the old machine is out of
commission. Setup is unable to find any files on the new
machine to verify that there was an original office suite
(probably office 95).
It was all registered and everything. What can I do to
prove ownership? If I can retrieve any files from the old
machine, what would I look for?
Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan, if you still have the Office 95 CD, insert that and
point the install program to the CD drive when it asks
where to find the qualifying program,

That's the problem, I do not have the original. They
were probably diskettes rather than cd, and who know's
where they are after 8 years and 4 moves!
Doesn't the fact that I have a registered copy of Office
97 count? I can probably copy some files from the old
hard drive that show I was running a legit copy of Office
97.
Help!
