Re-installing Outlook

K

KARIN

Windows2000 professional. I am running out of space on my C drive primarily
due to email. I want to re-install Outlook to my much larger D drive. When
I try to load from my Office2000 Upgrade 2000 it says I don't have qualifying
products on my system. Same thing when I try to load Office 98 (so I have a
qualifying product). Then when I insert Office WORKS (Thank goodness I saved
all these!) it won't load and can't be read (I get an "insert disc") error.

I thought this might be an OS issue so I bought the XP upgrade hoping it
would fix it. Same issue with the XP CD. No problem reading the 2000 cd.
Did all the MS and DRiver updates.

Help will be most appreciated!

Reinstalling OL on your D drive will not move your mail store, the
outlook.pst file
There is no need to install the qualifying product, just have the cd ready
to point to during the install.
ie pop the QP cd in once Office accepts it, replace with office cd
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm
for moving the pst
PS Ol2k has a size limitation on the pst, problems can occur when larger
than 1.6gb

Also rt click My Documents icon>Properties>move
