Re-installling over existing Office XP setup

Berner

We have installed a number of users with a specific
configuration of Office XP standard Edition using an
admin installation and an initial .MST transform file.
Some of the settings in the initial .MST file were
incorrect so a new .MST file has been created. Do I need
to remove the initial Office XP setup then run a new
setup with the amended .MST ransform file or just re-run
the setup program with the new .MST file.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Berner,

An .MST file is designed to work with a fresh installation
of a MS Office product. You may, however, want to
take a look at using the Custom Maintenance Wizard
from the Office XP Resource Kit (http://microsoft.com/office/ork/xp)
as an alternative to uninstalling and redeploying
the existing Office XP copies.
