re-opening email newsletter in outlook vs. explorer window

Hi, the email template I'm working with downloaded as a email message with
graphics, etc. I worked on it inside the email and then saved it on desktop.
Now, when I click on file, it opens in explorer window that cannot be
edited. I want to open in in an outlook email format that I can keep editing
and eventiallu send. Can someone advise me? Thanks
