Thanks for your help on this issue. What a relief that you guys are here and
so willing to help the rest of us.

I have followed the detailed instructions right to the end ,however when
viewing the page in the browser the small icon with the cross stays
unchanged and does not insert the pic. I wonder if there are any more steps
I need to follow.

One more question, I would like viewers to be able to upload various pics to
my site how would one set this in the database and then what would one do to
link the pics to the rest of the info

If you could help me with this it would be appreciated

1) About the missing picture, make sure you've uploaded those to the correct
directory on the server.....I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Take a look at the example on a site I'm doing,
http://www.aym.perth.anglican.org/details.asp.

Try searching Help in Frontpage as well (you didn't mention whether you followed
the knowledge base article or frontpage help - the help file might be slightly
easier to understand.

2) About uploading pictures by users....I don't know, your host has to support
this functionality - it may be a security risk to let just anyone (other than
yourself as the registered user of that web site space) upload files.

But if your ISP supports it then Frontpage 2002 has the file upload form field -
you could use that, or a thirdparty script depending on your server setup
(windows - ASP, .Net, sharepoint) or Unix (php, perl).
