Re-positioning Text Boxes in New Slides

S

ShabazOSU

When you right-click on a slide and select "New Slide," and it adds a new
slide below the one you clicked on, the Title & Body text boxes are always in
the exact same position, obviously. So, my question: is there a way to change
the automatic position/placement of the Title & Body text boxes when you
select "New Slide?" For example, instead of having the Title text box have
1-inch margins on the left & ride sides each time, is it possible to set it
to have 0-inch margins for a presentation, so that the box automatically goes
to the end of margin/side on each slide? I think I have worded it the best
that I could, so if anyone thinks they know what I am trying to do, your help
would be greatly appreciated! :)

When asking a question, it is helpful to know the version of PowerPoint you
are using. What you want to do can be done with the Slide Master feature.
Unfortunately, this is one feature that has changed a lot from version to
version. In 2003, you could go to the View menu and choose Masters and Slide
Master. Many adjustments you make there will be the default for all slides.

I don't have 2007 in front of me right now so I can't be too specific. Can
you find the slide masters? If you can, you will see a whole bunch of slide
masters on the left of the screen. Click on the slide design (Title and
Text) that you want to affect, and make the changes you want there. Close
the master view and all your slides (new and old) that you are Title and
Text slides will use the adjusted design.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention which version, I am using PowerPoint/Office
2007.
