Re-Posting Problems With Access 97 to 2002 Conversion

I have an Access 97 database that I am opening in Access
2002 in "cocompatability" mode. What is happening is that
it goes into a loop and the status bar shows messages over
and over. Sometimes I can break out of it. I can convert
it Ok, mangled the first time.
