Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel How do i re-record a narration on a single slide, after I have already recorded 7 of them. I want to change the narration on slide number 3. On a Windows version you would go to "Slide Show", "Record Narration", "Current Slide", but the current slide option is not available on the Mac version. How can I do this in the Mac version? thank you

Hi,

In Normal view you can delete the narration's sound icon that you'll
find on the slide. From the Slide Show menu choose Record Narration.

I've already tried that in the past, but it doesn't work right. I only want to re-record slide 3 and when I delete the narration's sound icon in slide 3 and then go to "Slide Show" Record Narration" it wants to start back on slide 1 and even if I skip ahead to slide 3 it still overrides any previous recordings that I had in slide 1 and 2, even though I have not deleted the sound icon's in those slides.

Sorry, I forgot about that little habit of PowerPoint.

The way I usually do it is to use Audacity (free from SourceForce) to
record the audio one slide at a time, and then insert the audio onto the
slide. Audacity lets you easily edit the audio, so you can get rid of
the little gaps, noises, mistakes you make while speaking, etc before
you insert the audio.

I found a workaround. Record each slide as a separate presentation, re-recording each one as often as you like. Then when you are satisfied, assemble the slides into one presentation. Don't forget to click at the end of each recording; this will advance to the next slide when they are all assmbled.
