Re saving Word from 08 to 07

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

My professor can't get my paper because I have 08 and she only has 07. Do I have to resave it? If so how do I do that?

If she truly had Office 2007, she would have no problem opening your
documents. My guess is that she is using an older version, possibly 2003,
which can only read the old binary format (unless all the updates have been
applied). To save your documents in the old file format, go to File>Save As
and choose "Word 97-2004 Document (.doc)" as the file format. If you want
Word to automatically save in that format, go to Word>Preferences, Save and
choose that same format in the dropdown menu.
