Re Word: graphic objects in template shrink when printed

I've created a Word template that doesn't print out graphic elements as
indicated in the print preview. They shrink slightly.

My header and footer are graphic files created in Illustrator and pasted
into Word. The resolution is great but my files don't print at the same
scale as they look on screen - in print preview they look fine - just the
scale reduces slightly and this throws out my layout.

Has anyone found this a problem and is there a solution?

I don't know about a solution, but remember that you are handling two
different images here.

In normal view and page layout view, Word is using the bitmap preview of the
image. In Print Preview and when printing, it is running off the actual
embedded EPS information.

In your document, make sure your Size is set to 100 per cent. Do not try to
set the size to an absolute measurement in Word: there's a conflict in that
dialog which means the setting is not reliable. Set Word to 100 per cent,
and re-size the graphic in Illustrator if you need to.

Hope this helps
