Reactivating previously purchased Outlook 2007

Had a virus. Backed up all info. Reformatted/reloaded Windows XP
Professional. Didn't have the original email from purchase of Outlook 2007
online from couple years ago but have the product ID. So, downloaded a trial
version of Outlook 2007 with hope of getting the activation key later for the
original purchase and using that to permanently activate this trial version,
and save the cost of buying again for same computer. Is that possible?

A Product ID is not the same as a Product Key. Which one do you have?
Otherwise, contact the reseller from which you bought Outlook. They should
have your sale on-records and probably have a replacement policy in-place.
