Reactivation Required Prematurely

J

Joseph N.

I have Word XP and Power Point XP only; not Office XP. Today, I
upgraded my computer's memory by removing two 64Mb chips and
inserting two 128Mb chips. Now, Word is requiring reactiviation.
Power Point is not. The problem is that my Word disk is packed
away in a safe place with other critical disks as part of a
disaster recovery plan. I can get it, but it's a PITA.

- Is this correct, that Word would require reactivation after such
a minor hardware upgrade?

- Is there any phone number to call to get the program reactivated
without the disk? The splash screen contains my name and license
number.
