read an Access 2000 table from an Access 97 application?

I have an Access 97 application.

I want to read data from an access 2000 database

Tried - linking to a 2000 table form 97 app - it shows no entusiasm at all!

Any way to do it from within code?

Nope.

The A2000 format was created long after A97 was written, and the structure is
different.

If you need the data, you can export it from 2000 into a 97 database, or
convert the 2000 database into 97 format - but you need A2000/2002/2003 in
order to do so.

Now implemented a 2000 mdb which writes the data to the Access97 table fine
and hence makes it available to the access 97 app- thanks
