Read multipart as plain text

hi,
is there really no way to tell outlook (2003) to display the original
text-part of a multipart message? when the setting for 'read as plain'
is enabled, outlook converts the html-part instead of displaying the
text-part!
maybe there is a reg-hack or an add-on to accomplish that?
